Our Name

B & R Veterinary Clinic is named in honor of Dr. LaVon Hettich's childhood dogs: Bootsie and Reno. Growing up on a family farm in South Dakota, Dr. Hettich always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Bootsie and Reno sparked her love of animals and inspire our personalized approach to pet care today.

Along with Dr. Hettich's other children, Adam began working at
B & R Veterinary Clinic soon after learning to walk. Through high school he continued working on the front desk and as a veterinary assistant before obtaining a bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans. After working at various clinics and schools in Louisiana, Adam is back to serve as the office manager for B & R. Ashley

Veterinary Technician

I have lived in DeForest my entire life. I’ve known I wanted to do something with animals my entire life but decided on vet tech a few years ago. I am attending Madison College for the vet tech program and am working here for my clinical experience. I plan on graduating in 2024 and then work in a small animal practice such as this one. I have enjoyed my experience here so far. I have 2 dogs named Mario and Schnapps and a leopard gecko named Angel.
